Sn63Pb37 lead solder bar description

Sn63/Pb37 Electropure™ is the best quality of tin-lead alloy wave soldering bar,its purity alloy that is composed of 63% tin and 37% lead. Electropure is alloyed in a proprietary method that results in a low drossing, high wetting solder. The Electropure process reduces suspended oxides in the solder, thus reducing drossing, improving flow, and reducing bridging during soldering. Sn63/Pb37 is a eutectic alloy with a melting point of 183°C (361°F). Typical applications are wave soldering and plating where Sn63/Pb37 is primarily used as a coating for corrosion protection, and as a base for soldering. This alloy is available in bar, solid and cored wire,powder, solder paste.

Sn63Pb37 Products feature

Reduced oxidation rate and  lower dross formation as compared with conventional alloys.

Better wetting characteristics even for solder bath temperatures which are somewhat below the usual operating temperature -> reduces the risk of damage to heat-sensitive components.

Significantly lower amount of oxide during melting and in continuous operation than for solders which have not been produced according to the STRATOLOY manufacturing process.

Application

Usual electronic component, PCB soldering; copper plate boards.

The use of BBIEN TL-01 Sn63Pb37 wave soldering bar as wave solder requires a solder bath temperature of approx. 190~210 °C; this alloy can also be processed at higher temperatures for selective soldering. The use of inert gas means a significant extension of the process window. The wetting of the solder is made easier and on exit from the wave, no excess solder remains attached to the components.

Using notes:

Before using tin-lead solder bar 63/37,pls clean the tin residul which have not removed from wave stove.You can control the time sheet according to the stove type and specific data.

During wave soldering technique,need to use the good quality of soldering flux together with 63/37 soldering bar,then there will be better soldering result.

At last,in order to avoid influence to the soldering effect,need to clean the tin dross which stay into the stove.

BBIEN TL-01 Sn63Pb37 Sn-Pb solder bar is available in 0.82~0.93 trapezoidal bars to easily distinguish it from traditional rectangular tin-lead bars,20kg per box.

Storage and Shelf Life

The shelf life of solder bar is based on the chemistry of the flux core and the protective alloy covering of the wire.

When stored in a dry, non-corrosive environment between 10°C-40°C (50-104°F), the shelf life of wire may be nearly indefinite. The expiration date determined by the date of manufacture printed on the product and Certificate of Analysis will represent the manufacturer’s warranty period which is the time frame where in BBIEN will replace defective product.

Solder bar have a 2 year warranty from the date of manufacture.
